Sarah Beardslee has been creating beaded jewelry and gifts for the last 12 years.. She uses a wide variety of mediums, including glass, paper, metal, and clay. The high-quality beads come from the 4 corners of the world, which help to create pieces that invoke beauty, amazement, whimsy, and healing. . She enjoys learning new techniques, challenging herself, and constantly coming up with new designs. Her designs have continuously evolved and grown over the years. The beaded designs are made into jewelry, such as necklaces, bracelets, and rings, judaica such as yads and yarmulkes, and beaded gifts including styluses, ornaments/sun catchers, and pens.
Sarah is a board member and former President of the Medford Arts Center, as well as a member of Beadesigner International (the New England Bead Society).
Her creations have been shown at the West Medford Open Studios,, the Arlington Open Studios, as well as many art fairs in the area, including Malden, Medford, Arlington and Lynnfield. Her art has been carried in shops and galleries in Medford, Boston, Somerville, Salem, Maynard, Brookline, Peabody, and Groton.
Sarah is looking forward to participating in West Medford Open Studios for her 11th year!
