Biography
Simply Sassy Design has been experimenting with various mediums for more than 40 years…Watercolor, Pen and Ink, Mono-printing, Mosaic and Collage were among the early favorites. Today she prefers to focus on the ‘Functional Arts’ of Fused Glass serving pieces; Flamework Beadmaking for her jewelry and serving pieces. Her silk scarves use the Japanese techniques of Arashi Shibori and Suminagashi while her unique glass beads are coordinated with her scarves to give her total control over the overall color and format.
A resident of Stoneham. Formerly, a 25 year resident of Winchester and owner of a Winchester business dedicated to seeing the arts survive. Co-founder of Arts in August, Member or the Winchester Cultural Council, Winchester Artists Network and Board of Directors member of the Winchester Friends of Art. Member of Arlington Center for the Arts
