Artist's Statement

There is no rule that says art must be confined to a gallery or only available to the wealthy. Beauty is all round us. I believe art should be accessible to everyone and part of our daily lives.

I make functional ceramic pieces of art that are meant to be used and enjoyed. My work captures a feeling of joy and whimsy. I take inspiration from nature and am influenced by the Scandinavian aesthetic. My goal is for others to enjoy the art of pottery in the joyful moments of the day. From the perfect cup of coffee in the morning to a lovely family dinner in the evening.
