Heidi Gilliam has loved art and photography ever since her father gave her a Brownie camera when she was little. She has taken courses at the DeCordova Museum, the Lexington Arts and Crafts Society, and the community art centers of Cambridge and Arlington. She has been working on a “stone series” of photographs, some hand-linked or tinted, and is presently interested in layering photos, pictures, and painting with textures of ornamental backgrounds in collages. She also loves traveling and has packed a camera to Africa, the Southwest, Seattle & Vancouver, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, and of course, all of beautiful New England. Heidi is a juried member of the Cambridge Art Association, and a long-time member of the Greater Lynn Photographic Association, where she has entered in Nature, Scenic, and Portrait slide competitions.
