Helena Gingras, co-editor and co-creator of the Doc Kountze Annual booklet, has many years of experience as a professional editor, technical writer, and proofreader.

Helena graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 1980 with a B.A. in English Literature. In 1986 she completed a Master of Arts degree from San Jose State University (a part of the U. Cal. System), and earned a Technical Writing Certificate at the same time. She was employed at Hogan Systems, Inc. in Dallas, Texas (now Computer Sciences Corporation) as a technical writer and editor for 12 years.

Currently, Helena is Treasurer on the Board of Directors of Medford Arts Center, Incorporated (MACI), as well as chair of the Publicity Committee. She writes fiction and autobiographical fiction, as well as writing music reviews and publicity for STUBBLE Musiczine and Black and Blue Records.
