Susan Henry Susan Henry was introduced to book arts by calligrapher Pamela Hanson
Hunter in 1999 but is mostly self-taught. She studied printmaking
during the past year with Selma Bromberg at the Cambridge Center for
Adult Education. In creating soft-cover blank books, Susan seeks
to offer not only what is visually pleasing or surprising outside but
also what will draw another inside to journal, sketch, write or record
poetry or quotes, or in other ways use her work in a unique collaboration
with their own. Previously as a nursery school teacher in Rhode
Island and now as a pastor in Arlington, Susan enjoys providing interesting
and appealing materials for children and adults to use in collage or
other artwork, particularly in response to familiar stories.
