Joan Loewenberg
ARTIST STATEMENT
I like to mix mediums and break down barriers between paint and fiber,
painting and drawing, and writing and drawing. Currently, I am also experimenting
with digital technology and the hand drawn. My work is about symbol making
that implies a story. I often work with personal stories. However, the more
I work the more universal the personal becomes. Currently, I am working
on two bodies of work. One explores the interconnection of all living things
and the other explores moments of grace in our physical world.
