Sayida Rivers Farmer Bio Her formal training began at the LaGuardia High School for Performing Arts (the "Fame" school) where she was a vocal major. She continued her studies as an undergraduate, majoring in Psychology, English and Music at Westfield State College. Sayida also has the distinction of having performed and survived the critical audiences of the Apollo Theatre in New York in 1995. She continued her education and attended graduate school, at the University of Connecticut's School of Social Work, majoring in social work and group work. A resident of West Medford since 1998, Sayida has continued performing
at weddings, in local competitions and in local venues, such as the
Mabray "Doc" Kountze Festival. She lives with her
husband, Karl and daughter Nadia, also a budding performer.
