Bio
Joey Hamill raised her five kids in Scituate before she moved to West Medford. Now most of the family has moved nearby too. She enjoys the lively urban environment mixed with open space and a river just steps away. She works in Braintree for the Veterans Administration, projecting costs and analyzing patient care patterns.

She has been painting 15 years, mostly pastel and watercolor, and lately has been making small books for children. She has studied at South Shore Art Center, Cambridge Center for Adult Education, and Lexington Arts and Crafts Society. She likes "to go into the place in her head where paintings happen." Sometimes she likes the results, too.
