Statement
I agree with the writer Brenda Ueland, who said that everybody is talented, original, and has something important to say. But as writers and creators, we face anxieties at every stage in the writing process that can lead to feeling stuck, stale, blocked or isolated.
In most cases, it's not talent or technique that separates the successful writer from the frustrated writer but the ability to work with the anxieties that inevitably arise over the course of a creative project.
I design my classes so that writers of all skill levels can inspire and support each other at each stage in the writing process. By understanding ourselves as creators, we can help ourselves—and each other—move our projects forward.
