Biography

70 years, 5 kids, 3 grandkids and counting….
I still work for the VA doing budgets part time, but 18 years seems long enough already!
My kids are raised, and grandkids are growing up too and teaching ESL students, while satisfying, takes just a while each week.
More and more I find I’m looking more and doing less, just savoring the light, the shadows, the soft air and the bracing wind.
I can paint and travel more now, and am learning how to make these times happen.

Statement

Watercolor, pastel, photography, and drawing all give me a way of describing the world I see around me.  People, places, things, happenings and the feelings they generate as I look around me, make me want to make a record of them  somehow.  Lately I’ve been attempting portrait painting.  I’ve taken classes many places, and learn from each one.  So I continue.
