Artist Statement

I was raised in the Spy Pond region of East Arlington, and am presently residing in Medford, Massachusetts.

I am inspired by New England's local charm, from the way the natural light plays off the ocean in Provincetown, to Mother Nature's bright hues and forms, and the textures in my very own English garden.

The vivid colors and natural wonders I have observed in our National Parks and in Alaska gave me a soaring passion to recreate what I had discovered in all of this beauty. People, culture and food from places like the coastlines of Spain, the Tuscan sun of Italy, the familiar charm of London, and the distinct beauty of China gave me the creative impulse to pick up my paintbrush after 35 years.

Capturing these moments in my paintings is a source of great joy for me.
