Volunteering for West Medford Open Studios

Planning is underway for the ninth annual West Medford Open Studios. The dates and times are set: May 10 and 11, 2008, from noon to 5 pm. We are looking for volunteers to join the fun.

Some of the volunteer opportunities are:

• Helping with the kickoff party (to which all volunteers are invited)
• Distributing flyers in the neighborhood
• Inflating balloons for site markers
• Delivering site markers
• Photographing The Event
• "Studio-sitting" to give an artist a chance to visit other sites

These and other tasks put you in touch with the community of artists who are organizing WMOS and those who are showing their work. Most rewarding is the chance to be part of this upbeat neighborhood event during which all participants get to greet neighbors, and friends (and make new friends) as they wend their way through the various sites.
